This piece has a wonderful burnished finish and is especially fine, weighing very little for its size. Jorge Ponce and his wife, Elsa Ledezma have been making pottery for many years. Jorge does the painting and Elsa forms the pottery. I've met and bought pottery from many of Elsa's relatives. They are one of my favorite families. They've been especially kind and helpful to me.
